Day 42 – Mammoth Lakes and a Zero day

Wingman from the Roadside:

We woke in the morning with no particular time schedule or place to go. It was a morning for real and hot coffee. It was a Zero day. A rest day. Not a resupply day or “Nearo” (near zero) day. It was a Zero day. We walked around town, bought some groceries, visited a mountaineering store, ate dinner at the picnic table at our campsite in the evening, and sat by the campfire. It was a day for reflection and a day to share.

  1. So glad you are safe and conquering the adventures!! I am beyond impressed, and know that trail at it’s best when we were there.(Sunny and dry) I felt challenged then so truly imagine how challenging it is with the conditions!!! You are the strongest woman I have ever met!!! Go running bird, you belong with the best! So happy for you! Don & I want to take you and David out for dinner when you come home!!!
